Is your company in the market to hire a data scientist? Data scientists are employed by a wide variety of companies, from social networking firms to businesses involved in healthcare research and big-box stores. Data scientists must be familiar with data-gathering software, programming and warehousing techniques. But they don’t just sit in front of a computer all day. Often, data scientists will be called into marketing strategy sessions or IT meetings, depending on the specific job.
